Prices of palmolein rose Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale oil and oilseed market today, mostly supported by pick-up in demand from retailers.
Castor oil in the non-edible section also showed strength on increased offtake by consuming industries.
Traders said pick-up in demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to rise in palmolein oil prices.
