Student attacked by classmate with knife

A 17-year-old school student from Subash Nagar locality was injured after he was attacked with a knife by his classmate.

Police sub-inspector P R Kumbhar of the Vartak Nagar police station today said that there was a dispute between both the accused and the victim over throwing water balloons during pre-Holi revelry.

The dispute erupted on March 2 2015, in the Home of Faith High School at Subash Nagar.

The accused, whose age has not yet been revealed, allegedly attacked the victim with a small knife near his ear, hand as well as back besides abusing him, according to the complaint filed by the victim.
 

The Vartak Nagar police has registered an offence under Section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the Indian Penal Code against the accused boy, the police said, adding, the matter is being investigated.
