Student electrocuted in Ghaziabad

A 2nd-year student of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Vivek Vihar in east Delhi died of electrocution when he was doing some electrical repairing work at his teacher's home in Brij Vihar, police said today.

Ved Prakash, a resident of Nand Nagari in north-east Delhi, was called by his teacher Virendra Singh to his residence yesterday for the repair work. He came in contact with the live wire and fell unconscious due to the electric shock, SHO Upendra Yadav said.

He was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, he said.

A case has been registered, he added.
