A 17-year old 12th standard by was found dead on the railway track near Podanur in the city today, police said.
The body of Vijayaraj, a resident of Sundarapuram hit by the train, was noticed by passersby and informed police, who arrived at the scene and sent it for postmortem to the Government Hospital here.
Investigations are on whether this was an accident or a case of suicide, police said.
