Days after Maharashtra government recommended to Centre the de-affiliation of Aditya Dental College, the students alleged that they were receiving threats from college authorities.
A delegation of 80 students of BDS (first Year) yesterday met district collector Sunil Kendrekar and submitted a memorandum against college authorities, sources said today.
Students alleged that authorities were pressurising them to withdraw the complaint and also asking them to take out a morcha saying all is well at the college.
Maharashtra government on March 11 recommended de-affiliation and cancellation of all permissions granted to Aditya Dental College following an inquiry into a flurry of complaints against the institution.
"College authorities mislead Health University teams whenever they visit the place for inspection. As the college does not have MDS professors on roll they pay money to outside lecturers whenever inspection teams visit the college. They also force us to do odd jobs by threatening us that our internal scores will be affected if we refused to comply" said the memorandum.
The students demanded that they be affiliated to other dental collage as final examinations are two months away.
District Collector Sunil Kendrekar said he had apprised Medical Education department in Mumbai about the complaints.
College Administrator Aditi Sarda did not respond to calls when contacted.
