Students block road, protest against 'faulty' Inter results

Agitating students blocked the busy Bailey road here for nearly an hour today protesting "faulty" results of Intermediate examinations.

A group of students squatted on the busy road near the Income Tax roundabout disrupting traffic for nearly an hour, police said.

Today was the third day of agitation by the students protesting "faulty" results of Intermediate Council (equivalent to plus two) conducted by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).

Later, the police chased them away and resumed traffic, the sources said adding, the protesters also pelted stones on the policemen.

There was no report of serious injuries to anybody so far, police sources said.
 

The students from across the state were protesting the decline in pass percentage due to "faulty" evaluation of answer seats.

Meanwhile, the BSEB passed an order enabling students to apply for scrutiny from June 3 to 17.

The Board was expected to publish the results of Humanities stream in a day or two, the BSEB sources added.
