Various students' organizations today staged demonstration at Chhatrapur, the district headquarters town, demanding immediate arrest of those involved in murder of a student of Sahid Bhagat Singh College, Khandadeuli.
The girl's body was found on August 3, a day after she went missing from the village. The student bodies suspected that the girl was raped before being killed by miscreants.
A seven-member students delegation met district collector Prem Chandra Chaudhary and submitted a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. They demanded arrest of the accused persons and compensation to her guardians.
