The Students' Joint Action Committee (JAC) for a "united" Andhra Pradesh has decided to constitute "self immolation groups" to prevent the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Representatives from nine universities in Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema atended the JAC meet at the Nagarjuna University campus, near here today and chalked out a programme which includes padlocking offices of the CPI and the BJP, for supporting a separate Telangana state as well as laying siege to houses of MLAs, MPs and ministers.

The meeting criticised the Centre for speeding up the process of bifurcating Andhra Pradesh, ignoring the widespread agitation in Coastal Andhra.

"We condemn the intransigence of the Centre," a resolution said.
