Students go missing on way to school, kin alleged kidnap

Two teenage students went missing while on their way to school last month, with their family members alleging that they were kidnapped and an FIR in this connection was lodged today, police said here.

According to a complaint lodged by Shiv, his son Himanshu (16) along with a friend Lov Deep Sharma (14) went missing on their way to school on January 2, Surajpur Police Station in-charge Anuj Kumar said.

Their family members suspect that the children might have been kidnapped, but no call for ransom has been received so far, the police official said.

On the basis of the complaint, an FIR has been registered and investigation is underway, they said.
