A team of 38 students of Kathua in Jammu, who are on an educational tour under the "Gurj Division Shiksha Abhiyan" today called on Punjab Governor Shivraj Patil here today.
Commending the programme, Patil said the tour will not only provide the youth opportunity to visit various places, but will also inculcate a sense of national pride in them after they witness the vast cultural and religious diversity of our country.
"We all are equal even if we belong to different religions," Patil told the students, adding that real education is broadmindedness.

Major Sahil Thakur, who led the tour, said the Shiksha Abhiyan exposes the young students who have ventured out of their villages for the first time to the rich, vivid and vibrant heritage of the country.
The students visited places of historical and cultural importance like Rock Garden, Lake, Pinjore Garden and Terraced Garden here during the tour.
