The student wing of the CPI(ML), AISA today organised a rally outside the Bangladesh High Commission to protest against the recent spate of killings of Bangladeshi bloggers and submitted a deputation.

"We are here to stage protest against the killing of bloggers in Bangladesh," said a student leader of AISA.

Four bloggers fell victim to machete-wielding men in Bangladesh, the most recent one being Neel Niloy who was hacked to death inside his flat in the presence of his wife.

Earlier, 33-year-old Ananta Bijoy Das, a secular blogger, was hacked to death in Sylhet city. In February 45-year old Avijit Roy, a Bangladesh-born US national, was killed while his wife narrowly escaped the attack.

A month after Roy's killing, another blogger Washiqur Rahman was murdered in a similar fashion in Dhaka.
