Infuriated over death of a Class 10 boy in a road accident today, some students in Rae Bareli district staged protest by keeping victim's body on road and pelted stones on a police party that had reached there.

Satyam Pandey, a student of Dinanath Intermediate College, died this morning after being hit by a loader in Lalganj area of the district, police said.

As the news of his death spread, students of nearby colleges assembled and started protesting by keeping his body on the road.

They also indulged in heavy brick-batting on a police party which had gone there, and damaged their vehicles, police said.

No policeman, however, was injured in stone-peltind.
