Despite the fact that the drop in cut-offs was only marginal as against the first list, popular courses like Commerce and Economics stood almost closed in the top colleges.

While Ramjas College took 184 admissions today, filling up most of its seats in Commerce and Economics, Shri Ram College of Commerce, which had closed admissions for Commerce after the first window of admissions was over, admitted for Economics today.

Hindu College has so far taken 840 admissions, almost 100 more than the total seats available, though over admissions have occurred in only a few courses.

In most of the top colleges of the University, it appears difficult that many courses will be open for admissions when the third list is announced on July 2.

"With 92 per cent marks, I was desperately hoping to get into a campus college in BA Commerce (hons) but the second list did not bring any good news for me," said a student who has already secured an admission in an off-campus college.

The-cut off percentages for admission to popular courses did not show any remarkable drop in the second list. The drop was in the range of 0.25 to 1 per cent only.

In Hindu College, which had put its first cut-off at the maximum of 99.25, the bar dropped only by .25 percentage points.

The lowest cut-off for admission to B Com (Hons) was 81 per cent at Aditi Mahavidyalaya.
