Press Trust of India Kolkata
Students in Howrah today started a four-day-long no-horn campaign to sensitise drivers against unnecessary honking in front of schools and hospitals.

Students of the M C Kejriwal Vidyapeeth lined various parts of Howrah township with placards bearing the 'No Horn' sign to raise awareness among motorists.

With support from the Rotary Club of Belur and Howrah City Police, the campaign will create awareness about incessant honking, resulting in noise pollution.

The awareness drive would continue till June 27.

"Motorists often fail to take into account the issue of using the horn unnecessarily. We hope this 'No Horn' campaign makes people realise the problem and take a positive step forward," said K K Kejriwal, Managing Trustee of M C Kejriwal Vidyapeeth.
