Students vandalise school

Students of a high school in West Bengal's Murshidabad district went on the rampage today and vandalised its property to protest against the school management committee's alleged demand for more examination fees.

The management committee of Barulia Haricharan High School at Khargram had allegedly asked for more money as fees from students appearing for the higher secondary examination this year, superintendent of police Anish Sarkar said.

The students vandalised the school damaging computers and furniture. The situation was controlled after police interevend, he added.
