A police sub-inspector was killed in an accident on the National Highway-24 here this morning, police said.
The victim, Prabhakar Sharma (50), who was going on his motorcycle for enquiring into a case was hit from the rear side by an unidentified vehicle, near Dhaneta bridge, killing him on the spot, SP (Rural) Brijesh Srivastava said.
Sharma, posted in Shahi police station of the district, belonged to Badaun and his family has been informed about his death, Srivastava said, adding that a case has been registered and efforts are on to ascertain the details of the vehicle and its driver.
