The double leg Yonex Sunrise All India Sub-Junior Ranking Badminton Tournaments (u-15 and u-17) in Nagpur and Hyderabad will form the basis for selection of Indian squads for the Asian Junior Championship (U-15 and U-17) to be held in Myanmar in October.
In last year's event at Yangoon, Samiya Imad Farooqui had won gold in under-15 and there are a lot of expectations from the current lot.
In fact, it was PV Sindhu, who claimed under-19 gold in the championships held in South Korea six years ago to open India's medal account in Asian Juniors.
All participants, who are going through the grind of qualification, are keen to perform to get the nod of the selection committee which will take a call on the selection after the Hyderabad leg gets over on August 6.
