Sub-standard work in the police colony here proved costly for a construction firm as the CBI has registered a case against it and Public Works Department (PWD) officials for alleged corruption.
Mahendra Ram, the then executive engineer, and Bhudev, the junior engineer (Civil), of PWD along with Rahat Construction Company have been booked by the CBI.
"The allegations pertain to carrying out sub-standard work at a residential building of police colony, sector A-5 and B-4 at Narela, Delhi by the firm in connivance with the executive engineer and the junior engineer of the PWD," CBI Spokesperson R K Gaur said here today.

The payments were made to the firm for the works which were not executed and fabricated entries were made in the measurement books, he alleged.
