Aluminium prices were down by 0.20 per cent to Rs 125.70 per kg in futures market today as speculators cut down their bets, tracking a weak trend at domestic spot market on sluggish demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in May shed 25 paise, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 125.70 per kg, in a business turnover of 1,239 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in June traded lower by 20 paise, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 125.65 per kg in 464 lots.

Analysts said offloading of positions by traders on the back of a weak trend at domestic spot market on easing demand from consuming industries, mainly influenced aluminium prices at futures trade.
