Subsidy for garlic, marigold farming

A spokesman of Haryana Horticulture Department said today that under NHM, subsidy at a rate of Rs 5,000 per acre was being provided to farmers engaged in garlic farming.

Also, farmers were being provided with 50 per cent subsidy on purchase of seeds of G-50 variety of garlic.

He said that similarly with a view to promoting farming of marigold among small farmers, they would also get 50 per cent subsidy thus benefit them to the tune of Rs 4,800 per acre.

Other farmers would be given subsidy of 33 per cent, which would benefit them at a rate of Rs 3,168 per acre.
