Suchitra Sen on non-invasive ventilatory support

Ailing actress Suchitra Sen was today put on "non-invasive ventilatory support" after her breathing problem became acute.

"Suchitra Sen's breathing problem has increased leading to dipping of her oxygen saturation, needing non-invasive ventilatory support," a bulletin issued by Belle Vue Clinic authorities said.

"Her other vital parameters like heart rate and blood pressure remain stable," the bulletin said.

Sen was admitted to the private hospital last week following respiratory tract infection.

The 82-year-old actress, who lives a secluded life and stays locked up within her apartment, was admitted to hospital after complaining of breathlessness.
