With a day to go for the FIFA World cup 2014 final between Germany and Argentina in Brazil, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has carved out a sculpture at Puri beach of Odisha.

Sudarshan created the 8-ft high sand sculpture of a World Cup trophy with the national flags of two finalist countries and faces of two captains, Lionel Messi and Philipp Lahm embossed, with a message 'Goal for Gold Cup' today.

"I wish both the team for their success. I used about 5 tons of sand besides some coloured sands and took seven hours to complete this sculpture," said Pattnaik.

Pattnaik had recently got the People's Choice prize in the Sandart World Cup at Atlantic, US.
