Sugar prices settled lower by Rs 30 per quintal at the wholesale sugar market in national capital today following ample stocks on increased supplies by mills coupled with weak demand from stockist and bulk consumers.
Marketmen said besides huge stocks position, slackness in demand from stockists and bulk consumers pulled down sweetener prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 price moved down by Rs 20 each to conclude at Rs 2,780-3,010 and Rs 2,770-2,990 per quintal.

Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices eased by Rs 10 each to Rs 2,730-2,870 and Rs 2,715-2,850 per quintal.
In millgate section, sugar Asmoli dropped by Rs 30 at Rs 2,800 per quintal, while Simbholi and Modinagar fell by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,830 and Rs 2,720 per quintal.
Prices of Dhampur and Chandpur softened by Rs.20 each to Rs.2,720 and Rs.2,710, while Dorala quoted lower by Rs.15 at Rs.2,745 per quintal.
