Weak conditions prevailed at the wholesale sugar market in the national capital today owing to slack demand from bulk consumers as well as retailers.
Marketmen said besides easing demand from bulk consumers, adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from mills mainly led to decline in sugar prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 slipped to Rs 3,660-3,850 and Rs 3,650-3,840 from previous levels of Rs 3,680-3,880 and Rs 3,670-3,870 per quintal respectively on reduced offtake.

In the millgate section, Mawana, Kinnoni, Asmoli, Dorla and Budhana also settled lower at Rs 3,520, Rs 3,605, Rs 3,555, Rs 3,530 and Rs 3,530 from previous levels of Rs 3,540, Rs 3,625, Rs 3,585, Rs 3,540 and Rs 3,540 per quintal respectively.
Thanabhavan, Dhanora, Simbholi, Khatauli and Dhampur Ramala too finished weak at Rs 3,525, Rs 3,565, Rs 3,585, Rs 3,595 and Rs 3,480 as compared to last close of Rs 3,610, Rs 3,645, Rs 3,665, Rs 3,670 and Rs 3,560 per quintal respectively.
