Sugar prices dropped by Rs 35 per quintal in the national capital today on adequate stocks position following ample supply from mills amid slackened demand.
Marketmen said apart from huge ready stocks on increased supplies, subdued demand form bulk consumers, attributed fall in sugar prices.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices declined from Rs 2,970-3,225 and Rs 2,960-3,200 to Rs 2,950-3,190 and Rs 2,940-3,180 per quintal respectively.

Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices also dropped from Rs 2,760-3,050 and Rs 2,750-3,040 to Rs 2,750-3,045 and Rs 2,740- 3,035 per quintal.
In the millgate section, sugar Chandpur, Anupshar and Amroha dipped by Rs 45 each to Rs 2,845, Rs 2,840 and Rs 2,845 per quintal.
Sugar Nazibabad, Sakoti and Mawana slipped by Rs 20 each at Rs 2,850, Rs 2,870 and Rs 2,895 per quintal.
Sugar Modinagar also fell by Rs 20 to trade at Rs 2,880, while Dorala moved down by Rs 10 at Rs 2,890 per quintal.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,750-3,045; S-30 Rs 2,740-3,035.
