Sugar mill gate prices ease on ample stocks, selective buying

Sugar mill gate prices receded by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following ample stocks position on sustained arrivals from mills amid selective buying.

However, sugar spot prices enquired at overnight closing levels on sporadic buying support.

Marketmen said mounting of stocks on steady inflow of supplies from mills coupled with need base buying by stockist and bulk consumers, mainly brought down the mill gate sugar prices.

In mill gate section, Sugar Asmoli, Budhana, Thanabhavan, Dhampur, Chandpur and Shamli prices eased by Rs 10 each to conclude at Rs 3,840, Rs 3,780, Rs 3,775, Rs 3,730, Rs 3,720 and Rs 3,780 per quintal.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 39.00-43.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,990-4,140, S-30 Rs 3,980-4,130.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,640-3,860, S-30 Rs 3,630-3,850.

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs N.Q., Kinnoni Rs 3,860, Asmoli Rs 3,840, Dorala Rs 3,810, Budhana Rs 3,780, Thanabhavan Rs 3,775, Dhanora Rs N.Q., Simbholi Rs 3,800, Khatuli Rs 3,820, Dhampur Rs 3,730, Ramala Rs 3,640, Anupshaher Rs 3,640, Baghpat Rs 3,680, Morna Rs 3,675, Sakoti Rs 3,760, Chandpur Rs 3,720, Nazibabad Rs 3,640, Modinagar N.Q., Shamli 3,780, and Nanota 3,640.
