Sugar mill gate prices eased in lacklustre trade

Sugar mill gate prices showed a modest fall of Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today amid scattered buying or selling by stockists and bulk consumers.

Meanwhile, sugar spot prices ruled flat on some support from retailers.

Marketmen said absence of necessary buying support from stockists and bulk consumers such as soft-drink and ice-cream makers mainly pulled down the sugar mill gate prices.

In mill gate section, sugar Dorala, Baghpat, Asmoli, Dhanora, Khatuli, Chandpur and Sakoti fell by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,760, Rs 3,630, Rs 3,760, Rs 3,750, Rs 3,790, Rs 3,700 and Rs 3,720 per quintal respectively.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 39.00-43.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,980-4,100, S-30 Rs 3,970-4,090.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,620-3,800, S-30 Rs 3,610-3,790.

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs N.Q., Kinnoni Rs 3,800, Asmoli Rs 3,760, Dorala Rs 3,760, Budhana Rs 3,755, Thanabhavan Rs 3,750, Dhanora Rs 3,750, Simbholi Rs N.Q, Khatuli Rs 3,790, Dhampur Rs 3,700, Ramala Rs 3,630, Anupshaher Rs 3,620, Baghpat Rs 3,630, Morna Rs 3,630, Sakoti Rs 3,720, Chandpur Rs 3,700, Nazibabad Rs 3,630, Modinagar N.Q., Shamli 3,720 and Nanota 3,630.
