Sugar mill prices eases on ample supply

Sugar mill gate prices dropped by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following ample supplies from mills against dimming demand.

According to marketmen, the fall in sweetener prices mainly attributed to increased supplies from mills amid slackened demand from bulk consumers such as soft-drink and ice-cream makers.

Sugar mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices were lower by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,510-3,610 and Rs 3,500-3,600 per quintal.

In the millgate section, sugar Kinnoni, Asmoli, Dorala and Mawana all fell by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,610, Rs 3,580, Rs 3,565 and Rs 3,580 per quintal, respectively.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 39.00-44.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,820-3,880, S-30 Rs 3,810-3,870.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,510-3,610, S-30 Rs 3,500-3,600.

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs 3,580, Kinnoni Rs 3,610, Asmoli Rs 3,580, Dorala Rs 3,565, Budhana Rs 3,560, Thanabhavan Rs 3,550, Dhanora Rs 3,550, Simbholi Rs 3,610, Khatuli Rs 3,600, Dhampur Rs 3,540, Ramala Rs 3,530, Anupshaher Rs 3,510, Baghpat Rs 3,550, Morna Rs 3,550, Sakoti Rs 3,530, Chandpur Rs 3,530, Nazibabad Rs 3,520 and Malakpur Rs N.T.
