Sugar millgate prices decline on ample stocks, low demand

Sugar millgate prices declined by Rs 20 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today on ample stocks following steady inflow of supplies from mills amid reduced offtake.

Marketmen said muted demand from bulk consumers and stockists amid higher arrivals from mills, mainly led to the fall in sweetener prices.

Sugar mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices dropped by Rs 20 each to end at Rs 3,630-3,710 and Rs 3,620-3,700 per quintal.

In the millgate section, sugar Kinnoni, Dorala, Simbholi and Anupshaher traded lower by Rs 20 each to settle at Rs 3,710, Rs 3,655, Rs 3,695 and Rs 3,630 per quintal.
 

Prices of Mawana, Budhana and Dhanora also declined by Rs 15 each to Rs 3,655, Rs 3,670 and Rs 3,655 per quintal.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 42.00-47.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,930-4,000, S-30 Rs 3,920-3,990.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,630-3,710, S-30 Rs 3,620-3,700.

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs 3,655, Kinnoni Rs 3,710, Asmoli Rs 3,710, Dorala Rs 3,655, Budhana Rs 3,670,Thanabhavan Rs 3,665, Dhanora Rs 3,655, Simbholi Rs 3,695, Khatuli Rs 3,700, Dhampur Rs 3,645, Ramala Rs 3,640, Anupshaher Rs 3,630, Baghpat Rs 3,650, Morna Rs 3,640, Sakoti Rs 3,650, Chandpur Rs 3,630, Nazibabad Rs 3,630 and Modinagar 3,650.
