Sugar millgate prices decline on selling pressure

In restricted movements, sugar millgate prices fell by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today, largely on increased supplies from mills amid selective buying activity.

Marketmen said ample stocks following increased supplies by mills weighed on sugar millgate prices.

In millgate section, Asmoli and Baghpat prices softened by Rs 10 each to Rs 2,910 and Rs 2,730 per quintal.

Prices of Dorala also eased by Rs 10 at Rs 2,755 per quintal.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 30.00-35.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,980-3,100 S-30 Rs 2,970-3,090.
 

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,710-2,925 S-30 Rs 2,700-2,915.
