Sugar millgate prices fell by Rs 20 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today due to subdued demand from bulk consumers on persistent supplies by mills.
Besides, reports of higher output in current marketing year and a weak trend in the sweetener overseas on bumper crops, put pressure on prices.
Sugar mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices fell by Rs 20 each to Rs 2,390-2,530 and Rs 2,380-2,510 per quintal.

In millgate section, sugar Kinnoni and Asmoli dropped by Rs 20 each to Rs 2,530 and Rs 2,520 per quintal.
Prices of Simbholi, Khatuli, Baghpat and Morna also slipped by Rs 20 each to Rs 2,520, Rs 2,530 and rest both at Rs 2,460 per quintal.
Marketmen said apart from higher output, persistent supplies by mills against low demand, continued to put pressure on sugar prices.
