Sugar price slips further on selling pressure

The wholesale sugar prices looked down further by Rs 40 per quintal in the national capital today following huge ready stocks, sparked by ample supply and reduced offtake.

Marketmen said apart from heavy stocks position, restricted buying by stockists and retailers mainly pulled down sweetner prices.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices slipped from Rs 3,000-3,225 and Rs 2,990-3,200 to close at Rs 2,870-3,225 and Rs 2,860-3,200 per quintal.

Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices also settled lower at Rs 2,800-3,105 and Rs 2,790-3,090 per quintal.

Among millgate including duty section, sugar Mawana and Thanabhavan lost Rs 40 each to both settle at Rs 2,930 per quintal.
 

Sugar Sugar Dorala dipped by Rs 35 at Rs 2,925 per quintal, while Chandpur and Bulandshar lost Rs 15 each at Rs 2,890 and Rs 2,900 per quintal.

The following were today's quotations per quintal:

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,970-3,225, S-30 Rs 2,960-3,200.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,800-3,105; S-30 Rs 2,790-3,090.

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 2930, Kinnoni 3,105, Asmoli 3,100, Dorala 2925, Budhana 2930, Thanabhavan 2930, Dhanora 2920 , Simbholi 3,105, Modi Nagar Rs 2,920, Khatuli Moisture 2,800, Dhampur 2,910, Ramala 2,820, Bulandshar 2,900, Anupshar 2,800, Baghpat 2,830, Morna 2,820, Sakoti 2,810, Chandpur 2,890, Amroha 2,890 and Nazibabad 2,800.
