Sugar prices drifted by Rs 70 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following increased supplies from mills amid scattered buying by stockists and bulk consumers.
Marketmen said the fall in sweetener prices was mostly attributed to ample stocks following increased supplies from mills against restricted demand.
Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices declined by Rs 70 each to conclude at Rs 3,680-3,780 and Rs Rs 3,670-3,770 per quintal.

Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices dropped by Rs 60 each to close at Rs 3,400-3,500 and Rs 3,390-3,490 per quintal.
In the millgate section, sugar Simbholi dipped by Rs 70 at Rs 3,480, followed sugar Khatuli by Rs 60 at Rs 3,480 per quintal.
Sugar Kinnoni fell by Rs 40 at Rs 3,500, while Asmoli declined by Rs 30 at Rs 3,470 per quintal.
Prices of Dhanora, Budhana, Thanabhavan and Chandpur also eased by Rs 20 each at Rs 3,430, Rs 3,440, Rs 3,430 and Rs 3,410 per quintal.
