Sugar prices fall on adequate supplies

Sugar prices eased at the wholesale sugar market in the national capital today on adequate supplies from millers against reduced offtake by bulk consumers.

Marketmen said adequate supplies from mills against sluggish demand from bulk consumers mainly kept pressure on sugar prices.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 eased to Rs 3,260-3,470 and Rs 3,250-3,450 against last close of Rs 3,300-3,470 and Rs 3,280-3,450 per quintal, respectively.

Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 followed suit and traded lower at Rs 3,120-3,320 and Rs 3,100-3,300 from previous levels of Rs 3,130-3,320 and Rs 3,110-3,300 per quintal, respectively.

In the millgate section, Asmoli, Dhanora and Modinagar were lower at Rs 3,285, Rs 3,170 and Rs 3,190 against last close of Rs 3,295, Rs 3,175 and Rs 3,200 per quintal, respectively.
 

Dhampur, Ramala,Baghpat, Morna, Sakoti and Nazibabad were down by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,190, Rs 3,150, Rs 3,160, Rs 3,150, Rs 3,170 and Rs 3,140 per quintal, respectively.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 37.00-39.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 (Rs 3,260-3,470); S-30(Rs 3,250-3,450).

Mill delivery: M-30 (Rs 3,120-3,320); S-30 (Rs 3,100-3,300).

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana (Rs 3,205); Kinnoni (Rs 3,320); Asmoli (Rs 3,285); Dorala (Rs 3,200); Budhana (Rs 3,215); Thanabhavan (Rs 3,205); Dhanora (Rs 3,170); Simbholi (Rs 3,320); Modi Nagar (Rs 3,190); Khatuli (Rs 3,285); Dhampur (Rs 3,190); Ramala (Rs 3,150); Bulandshahr (Rs 3,160); Anupshahr (Rs 3,130); Baghpat (Rs 3,160); Morna (Rs 3,150); Sakoti (Rs 3,170); Chandpur (Rs 3,150) and Nazibabad (Rs 3,140).
