Sugar prices fall on ample stocks

Sugar prices ended lower at the wholesale market in the national capital today following ample supplies from producing regions against reduced offtake by stockists and bulk consumers.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position on higher supplies from millers against reduced offtake by stockists and bulk consumers mainly kept pressure on sugar prices.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 eased to Rs 2,600-2,800 and Rs 2,590-2,790 against last close of Rs 2,620-2,820 and Rs 2,610-2,810 per quintal respectively.

Similarly, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 fell to Rs 2,500-2,660 and Rs 2,500-2,630 from previous levels of Rs 2,530-2,670 and Rs 2,520-2,650 per quintal respectively.
 

In the mill gate section, Mawana, Kinnoni, Asmoli, Dorala and Budhana were down at Rs 2,555, Rs 2,660, Rs 2,640,Rs 2,560 and Rs 2,560 instead of Rs 2,570, Rs 2,670, Rs 2,660, Rs 2,570 and Rs 2,570 per quintal respectively.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 30.00-34.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,600-2,800 S-30 Rs 2,590-2,790.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,500-2,660 S-30 Rs 2,500-2,630.

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana Rs 2570, Kinnoni Rs 2,670, Asmoli Rs 2,660, Dorala Rs 2,570, Budhana Rs 2,570, Thanabhavan Rs 2,560, Dhanora Rs 2,550, Simbholi Rs 2,635, Modi Nagar Rs 2,550, Khatuli Rs 2,670, Dhampur 2,540, Ramala Rs 2,540, Bulandshahr Rs 2,550, Anupshar Rs 2,530, Baghpat Rs 2,550, Morna Rs 2,550, Sakoti Rs 2,540, Chandpur Rs 2,540, Nazibabad Rs 2,540.
