Sugar prices marginally up on increased small buying support

Sugar prices of select mills rose up to Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following scattered demand from bulk consumers amdist increased supplies by mils.

Marketmen said some buying activity by bulk consumers and retailers helped sweetner prices to rise but ample stocks following increased supplies by mills, capped the gains.

In millgate section, sugar Budhana, Thanabhavan and Modinagar moved up by Rs.10 each to Rs.2,810, Rs.2,800 and Rs.2,810 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal)

Sugar retail markets - Rs 32.00-35.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,800-3,060 S-30 Rs 2,790-3,040.
 

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs.2,750-2,910 S-30 Rs.2,740-2,880.

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana Rs 2,820, Kinnoni Rs 2,910, Asmoli Rs 2,860, Dorala Rs 2,820, Budhana Rs 2,810, Thanabhavan Rs 2,800, Dhanora Rs 2,790, Simbholi Rs 2,880, Modi Nagar Rs 2,810, Khatuli Rs 2,870, Dhampur 2,790, Ramala Rs 2,780, Bulandshahr Rs N.T., Anupshahr Rs 2,750, Baghpat Rs 2,790, Morna Rs 2,800, Sakoti Rs 2,780, Chandpur Rs 2,765, Nazibabad Rs 2,770.
