Sugar prices remain flat on scattered demand

Sugar prices remained steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today on scattered demand from retailers and bulk consumers amid adequate stocks position.

Marketmen said scattered buying by stockists and retailers mainly kept sugar prices steady.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal)

Sugar retail markets - Rs 32.00-34.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 (Rs 3,120-3,300); S-30(Rs 3,110-3,290).

Mill delivery: M-30 (Rs 2,980-3,145);

S-30(Rs 2,960-3,125).

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana (Rs 3,090); Kinnoni (Rs 3,145); Asmoli (Rs 3,130); Dorala (Rs 3,080); Budhana (Rs 3,070); Thanabhavan (Rs 3,070); Dhanora (Rs 3,060); Simbholi (Rs 3,120); Modi Nagar (Rs 3,030); Khatuli (Rs 3,120); Dhampur (Rs 3,030); Ramala (Rs 2,995); Bulandshahr (Rs 3,065); Anupshahr (Rs 2,980); Baghpat (Rs 3,005); Morna (Rs 3,005); Sakoti (Rs 3,030); Chandpur (Rs 3,040) and Nazibabad (Rs 2,990).
