Sugar prices remain steady on scattered buying

In thin trading, sugar prices after moving in a tight range on scattered buying by bulk consumers and retailers, ended steady at the wholesale market in the national capital today.

Marketmen said after yesterday's fall of Rs 50 per quintal, buying activity picked up at prevailing leaves and managed to close steady.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal)

Sugar retail markets - Rs 33.00-35.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 (Rs 3,220-3,350); S-30(Rs 3,210-3,340).

Mill delivery: M-30 (Rs.3,060-3,190);

S-30(Rs.3,040-3,180).

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana (Rs 3,140); Kinnoni (Rs 3,190); Asmoli (Rs 3,155); Dorala (Rs 3,125); Budhana (Rs 3,115); Thanabhavan (Rs 3,110); Dhanora (Rs 3,100); Simbholi (Rs 3,165); Modi Nagar (Rs 3,110); Khatuli (Rs 3,150); Dhampur (Rs 3,080); Ramala (Rs 3,060); Bulandshahr (Rs 3,090); Anupshahr (Rs 3,060); Baghpat (Rs 3,070); Morna (Rs 3,070); Sakoti (Rs 3,085); Chandpur (Rs 3,085) and Nazibabad (Rs 3,060).
