Both the varieties of sugar prices recovered at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today due to fresh demand from stockist and retailers amidst better millers offtake.
Small sugar (S-30) climbed by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,196/3,262 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,186/3,262.
Medium sugar (M-30) also moved up by Rs 5 per quintal to Rs 3,242/3,446 as against Rs 3,242/3,441 previously.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,186/3,262 (Rs 3,210/3,262.
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,242/3,446 (Rs 3,242/3,441).
