Sugar rises on fresh buying

Sugar prices rose on the wholesale sugar market today on stockists as well as bulk consumers buying.

Traders said stockists as well as bulk consumers buying mainly led to rise in sugar prices.

Sugar mill delivery M-30 and S-30 rose to Rs 2,940-3,160 and Rs 2,930-3,150 from previous level of Rs 2,860-3,130 per quintal on increased offtake.

In the millgate section, Mawana, Kinnoni and Asmoli were traded higher at Rs 3,065, 3,160 and Rs 3,090 against last close of Rs 3,000, Rs 3,130 and Rs 3,070 per quintal, respectively. Dorala and Budhana were up by Rs 65 and Rs 55 to Rs 3,065 each per quintal, respectively.
 

The following are today's quotations per quintal:

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,070-3,320, S-30 Rs 3,060-3,310.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,940-3,160; S-30 Rs 2,930-3,150.

Sugar mill gate (including duty): Mawana 3,065, Kinnoni 3,160, Asmoli 3,090, Dorala 3,065, Budhana 3,065, Thanabhavan 3,060, Dhanora 3,075, Simbholi 3,160, Modi Nagar Rs 3,030, Khatuli 3,125, Dhampur 3,030, Ramala 2,960, Bulandshar 3,050, Anupshar 2,940, Baghpat 2,970, Morna 2,900, Sakoti 2,980, Chandpur 3,030, Amroha N.T. And Nazibabad 2,950.
