Sugar settles steady on small demand

Sugar prices ended quiet at the wholesale market in the national capital today following sporadic buying support amid adequate stocks position.

Marketmen said besides ample availability of sugar in the markets, scattered buying support from stockists and bulk consumers, mainly kept sweetener prices at previous levels.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 39.00-42.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,880-3,940, S-30 Rs 3,870-3,930.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,530-3,660, S-30 Rs 3,520-3,650.
