Sugar spot prices marginally up on retail demand

Sugar spot prices were up by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today on the back of pick up in retailers demand.

Elsewhere, other sugar varieties including mill delivery after moving in a tight range, closed at previous levels.

Marketmen said continued buying by retailers pushed up spot sugar prices.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices traded higher by Rs 10 at Rs 2,650-2,800 and Rs 2,640-2,790 from Rs 2,640-2,800 and Rs 2,630-2,790 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal)

Sugar retail markets - Rs 27.00-32.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,650-2,800 S-30 Rs 2,640-2,790.
 

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,500-2,660 S-30 Rs 2,490-2,650.

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs 2,540, Kinnoni Rs 2,660, Asmoli Rs 2,650, Dorala Rs 2,530, Budhana Rs 2,535, Thanabhavan Rs 2,525, Dhanora Rs 2,530, Simbholi Rs 2,650, Khatuli Rs 2,645, Dhampur 2,510, Ramala Rs 2,510, Bulandshaher Rs 2,490, Anupshaher Rs 2,490, Baghpat Rs 2,530, Morna Rs 2,520, Sakoti Rs 2,500, Chandpur Rs 2,490, Nazibabad Rs 2,490 and Malakpur 2,490.
