Sugar trades lower on bumper stocks

Sugar prices continued to decline at the wholesale sugar market in the national capital today due to lower offtake by stockists and bulk consumers amid huge stocks position following persistent supplies from mills and prices fell by another Rs 15 per quintal.

Marketmen attributed persistent fall in the sweetener prices which dropped to multi-year lows to ample stocks following supply pressure from millers against slackened demand from bulk consumers including soft-drink and ice-cream makers.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 prices fell by another Rs 10 each to Rs 2,500-2,620 and Rs 2,470-2,600 per quintal.

In line with overall trends, mill delivery M-30 and S-30 prices settled lower by Rs 10 each at Rs 2,360-2,470 and Rs 2,340-2,440 per quintal.
 

In the millgate section, Sugar Dorala, Simbholi and Khatuli prices eased by Rs 15 each to Rs 2,395 and rest both at Rs 2,440 per quintal.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 27.00-33.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,500-2,620 S-30 Rs 2,470-2,600.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,360-2,470 S-30 Rs 2,340-2,440.

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs 2,400, Kinnoni Rs 2,470, Asmoli Rs 2,415, Dorala Rs 2,395, Budhana Rs 2,390, Thanabhavan Rs 2,380, Dhanora Rs 2,400, Simbholi Rs 2,440, Modi Nagar Rs 2,385, Khatuli Rs 2,440, Dhampur 2,360, Ramala Rs 2,380, Bulandshaher Rs 2,380, Anupshaher Rs 2,370, Baghpat Rs 2,390, Morna Rs 2,390, Sakoti Rs 2,370, Chandpur Rs 2,380, Nazibabad Rs 2,370.
