Sugar weakens on ample supply

Sugar mill gate prices eased by another Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale market in the national capital today following ample supplies by mills amid selective buying.

Marketmen said huge stocks of ready stocks in the markets following increased supplies against limited buying interest, mainly kept sweetner prices in red zone.

In the millgate section, Baghpat, Asmoli and Morna moved down by Rs 10 each to Rs 2,610, Rs 2,660 and 2,610 per quintal.

Prices of Ramala, Khatuli and Simbholi also fell by Rs 10 each to rs 2,600, Rs 2,730 and Rs 2,700, while Dorala and Modinagar by Rs 5 each to Rs 2,660 and Rs 2,590 per quintal.

Sugar retail markets - Rs 30.00-34.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 2,770-2,900 S-30 Rs 2,760-2,890.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 2,560-2,730 S-30 Rs 2,550-2,720.

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs 2,650, Kinnoni Rs 2,730, Asmoli Rs 2,660, Dorala Rs 2,660, Budhana Rs 2,630, Thanabhavan Rs 2,620, Dhanora Rs 2,620, Simbholi Rs 2,700, Modi Nagar Rs 2,590, Khatuli Rs 2,730, Dhampur 2,580, Ramala Rs 2,600, Bulandshahr Rs 2,610, Anupshar Rs 2,600, Baghpat Rs 2,610, Morna Rs 2,610, Sakoti Rs 2,600, Chandpur Rs 2,600, Nazibabad Rs 2,600.
