Marking his entry into Bengali film industry, Kahaani maker Sujoy Ghosh now pens the concept of a Rituparna Sengupta-starrer.

"Yes Bharate is derived from my concept. And I am happy an actor like Rituparna essays the lead of the film," the Satyanesi sleuth said here.

Sujoy, busy with another Hindi film, will rate Rituparna as a dear friend in the industry but won't say if he will cast her in any future project of his.

"She is a powerful actor. But it is all too premature," the Jhankar Beats director would say.

"Happy to have Sujoy with us here. And yes in Bharate I play the member of a tenant family residing in a typical old north Kolkata building," Rituparna said.

'Bharate' is a family entertainer with dollops of comedy, actor Rajddep, who had earlier turned up opposite Rituparna in a tempestuous role in Muktii, said.

"In 'Bharate' (Tenant) I am part of a household in typical North Kolkata 'gulli' (bylane) where a young beautiful lady comes in search of accomodation," Rajdeep said.

"I share screen space with Rituparna Sengupta for ther second time and I am fortunate to see Ritudi (Rituparna), effortlessly expressing before the camera and then switching to the neutral mode after the shot," Rajdeep said.

"Happy to get and essay the roles I wanted in all these years. Bharate as a film is also part of the same genre of movies I had been associated with in recent times," Rituparna said.

Bharate, directed by Anindya Ghosh, will be released in April.
