Sukhbir, Sampla pay tributes to Swami Brahmanand Bhuriwale

Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, BJP state chief and Union Minister Vijay Sampla today paid rich tributes to Swami Brahmanand Bhuriwale on his 14th death anniversary here today.

Deputy CM on the occasion announced a grant of Rs 2 crore for setting up a museum and library in the memory of Swami Bhuriwale in the Sect's Dham at Pojewal, and assured that a road from Khanpur Khuhi to Tibba Taparian would soon be constructed at a cost of Rs 18 crore.

Lok Sabha MP Prem Singh Chandumajra announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh from his discretionary fund while Union Minister of state Vijay Sampla assured 45 per cent of the Rs 3 crore grant in case the sect approached his ministry with the proposal of constructing a girls' hostel.
 

Earlier, addressing the gathering, Deputy CM said that the Badal government raised a record number of memorials and religious institutions to promote feeling of oneness and amity among the people during the past nine years of SAD-BJP rule.

Paying tributes to Swami Bhuriwale, he termed him as a true saint who worked for the uplift of the people of his area through his benevolent works and opening of a number of educational institutions.

The present head of the Sect Swami Chetnaanand thanked the Deputy CM for his support to the activities of the Sect.
