Sultry day for Delhiites

It was a rather sultry day in the national capital today with the mercury settling close to 37 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year while the maximum temperature was posted at 36.8 degrees Celsius.

The humidity oscillated between 57 per cent and 85 per cent, the MeT department said.

The city did not record any rainfall between 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM.

The MeT office has predicted generally cloudy skies and rains for tomorrow.

"The skies will be generally cloudy. Rain and thundershower may occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 36 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius respectively," a MeT official said.
 

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36.1 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature settled at 25.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal.
