Sitting BJP MP Sumitra Mahajan who plans to contest Lok Sabha polls from Indore for the eighth time, said here today that she never underestimated any of her opponents.

"One should never underestimate an enemy in war and I take electoral contest also as war. Therefore, I will not underestimate any of my opponents," seven-time Indore MP Sumitra Mahajan told reporters.

She said that this time, she would also try to win the polls with the maximum number of votes by cornering the Congress-led UPA government for inflation and corruption.

She has won from Indore since 1989 and for the last seven Lok Sabha elections, the contest was between the BJP and the Congress.

However, for the first time, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also entered the electoral fray, as a third force and it has fielded noted social worker Anil Trivedi (62) from Indore.

The Congress has given a ticket to former MLA Satyanarayan Patel who was elected as a party candidate by winning primaries (internal polls within the Congress) as per Rahul Gandhi's directives.
