Summer camp for army children in Mathura

A month-long summer camp for the children of Army personnel was organised at the Strike 1 Sainik Institute here.

A total of 320 children, belonging to army personnel of all ranks took part in art & craft, drawing, dance and Karate classes.

On the final day of the camp today, children gave scintillating performance of 'Karate Katas', a form of Japanese martial arts.

The synchronised moves of the martial arts form exhibited by a group of boys and girls on the tune of bollywood numbers electrified the whole atmosphere, the art and crafts display showcased the young and fresh talent at the camp, an official statement said.
 

The programme was witnessed by parents of these children and high ranking army officials of Mathura Strike 1 Corps.

The participants were awarded with certificates by Station Commander, Mathura Cantonment.
