Sun Pharma shares up over 4% on bourses

Shares of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries rose by over 4 per cent today amid reports that the company is unlikely to be adversely affected by USFDA notifying objectionable conditions at its Gujarat plant.

The pharma firm's stock ended 4.30 per cent higher at Rs 807.10 on the BSE. During the day, it jumped 6.19 per cent to Rs 821.70 .

At the NSE, the scrip gained 4.44 per cent to end at Rs 808.65.

In terms of volume, 8.29 lakh shares of the company changed hands at the BSE, while over one crore shares were traded at the NSE during the day.
 

Reports quoting Credit Suisse said Sun received a Form 483 from the USFDA on a Gujarat facility that notified the company of objectionable conditions at its manufacturing plant.

When contacted, Sun Pharma spokesperson declined to comment.
